Another fabulous North Coast timber business doing its bit for the community

The kitchen garden program will involve 184 students from Year 2 – 6 on a fortnightly timetable with gardening sessions one week and kitchen sessions in the alternate week.large_AST and Stephanie Alexander Garden 2, 16 Dec, 2012.jpg

The aim of the project is to introduce all students to the pleasures of preparing cooking and eating a variety of foods they have grown and harvested themselves.

Australian Solar Timbers CEO Dr Douglas Head is thrilled to be involved with such a wonderful project…’the timber industry teaches you about long term thinking and this project is an investment in a generation who will be re-engaged with where food comes from and how to prepare it. A respect and understanding of these things is fundamental to life. AST is proud to be involved with such a project’.
